Position Summary
Position: Senior Credit Analyst
Department: GAC – Analytical Operations – Structured Finance

Essential Qualification: Two years full-time MBA (Finance) or equivalent OR CA
Experience: 3.5 – 6 years of relevant experience in structured finance
Role Summary
- Functional Responsibility / Domain Related
- Provide support to a global Credit Analyst to monitor and track performance of a portfolio of credits / transactions
- Track and understand industry dynamics and regulatory trends
- Prepare cash flow models - model and regularly maintain structured finance deals (RMBS, ABS, CMBS, etc. across regions) using proprietary platforms and ensure the correctness of the cash-flows
The modelling process involves:
- In-depth understanding of transaction documents such as Offering Circular, Indenture, Swap Agreement, etc. to model the structure and features of the deals
- Structure appropriate conditions & payments needed to generate the required output for further analysis
- Model maintenance process involves regular testing and validation of models based on the most recent reports, statements published by issuers, servicers, understanding payment structures and revising the model to be in sync with expected outcome
- Respond to credit events
- Prepare internal credit research reports and notes
- Stay abreast with latest developments in the structure finance market and their implications
- Process Adherence
- Focus on review / QC, adding analytical inputs, when required and signing off on tasks
- Create and maintain base level training, process manuals & documentation to ensure smooth execution of tasks
- Adopt the defined processes in day to day execution of assignments
- Identify process improvement avenues and identify value added work
- Ensure that new knowledge gained is retained and documented through operating manuals
- Work with other teams and suggest methods to make the current set up more efficient
- Client Management / Stakeholder Management
- Build and maintain relationships with international clients
- Independently handle client communication and take the lead on conference calls
- Set expectations with clients regarding scope of work, timelines, etc. for routine tasks
- People Development
- Provide analytical mentoring to junior members of the team
- Implement team level initiatives
- Familiarize new recruits to the team and organization
