General Manager - Finance (15-18 yrs)

Our client is a 1500 crores group having multiple businesses like Infrastructure, Road, Waste mangement, Consulting etc. It is a 40+ years old group having leadership position in central India. The client is looking for a GM Finance to oversee the Finance Function at group level.

Reports to: Managing Director

Purpose of the Role :

- To set direction and assure management of financial resources for the Group

- To establish and guide & control the financial activities of the Group.

- To establish contracts and agreements for financial institutions/vendors/share holders etc.

Key Responsibilities and Accountabilities

- Structure:Identify and implement structure/design changes in the Finance, considering the future organizational requirements, market realities and aligning them with the growth objectives.

- Policies:Introduce appropriate systems/ changes by anticipating changes in the political/demographic/competitive landscape that are likely to have a substantial impact on the finance with a view to increase efficiency and drive them through the team.

- Planning and Design:Determine optimum cost structure by periodically reviewing cost of operations in light of competitors cost structures, market realities and organization’s objectives and implement best practices.

- Relationship Management:Represent the company to financial partners including financial institutions, investors, auditor and other stakeholders.

Functional:

- Budgeting:Work with individual department heads and the top management to prepare , implement and manage budget for the organization.

- Fund Management:Oversee the cash flow planning and Management & ensure availability of funds for the company as needed

- MonitoringMonitor financial transactions vis-a vis projected cash and funds flows and initiate appropriate retrieval measures if required.

- Provide consultative support to planning initiatives through financial and management information analyses, reports and recommendations.

- Monitor timely signing of agreements and reviews/renewals from time to time.

- Organizational Development:Contribute towards building envisioned organizational culture by creating and institutionalizing mechanisms that reinforce performance and value based behavior.

- Enhance organizational capability by developing and driving learning and education interventions in consultation with Head HR and other functional leaders.

Role Requirements : Qualification & Experience

Essential:

- Chartered Accountant and/or MBA (Finance) or Equivalent

- 15 ~ 18 Years of relevant experience in financial management with 6 ~ 8 years in a similar role

Desired:

- Extensive knowledge of contracts, agreements & financial policies, procedures, control & systems.
