Job specification:
Management Accountant
For 2 + Years:
Responsible for:
- Assisting senior financial analysts in Zurich to drive bank-wide harmonization and rationalization of the expense chart of accounts in multiple general ledgers by performing detailed analyses
- Execute decisions made by the Chart of Accounts (CoA) Change Board, a body led by GFP&A Management Reporting with representatives from all divisions covering cross-divisional definitions, standards and methods for information required to report and manage expenses
- Steer the development and maintenance of the Expense Accounts Reference Manual (E-ARM), an interactive online tool that provides a single source for expense account definitions, related policies and typical journal entries
- Navigating through complex, fragmented landscape of data sources feeding the general ledgers and identifying opportunities to inactivate legacy expense accounts
- Administration work of scheduling related meetings, taking minutes, conducting follow-ups, filling account change forms and access control to SharePoint websites used to distribute confidential management reports
- Reengineer and optimize processes to boost efficiency and improve controls
For 5+ Years:
Responsible for:
- Group-wide performance measurement reporting for decision support
- Advisory to the financial analysts based in Zurich on all matters related to report production
- Define and steer data gathering from Divisional Financial Planning & Analysis teams across New York, London, Zurich and Singapore
- Integration of data into Essbase relational database and Microsoft Excel templates to enable accurate, time critical management reporting
- Analyse evolving management reporting requirements to identify gaps in current management information tools and prioritize sourcing of data to fill such gaps
- Navigating through complex, fragmented landscape of management information sources and resolving variances in our system impacting management reports
- Reengineer and optimize processes to boost efficiency and improve controls
PERSON SPECIFICATION:
WORK EXPERIENCE
- 2+ years’ experience in related field of work
- Multinational Company
- Exposure to senior management (Director+ Level)
- Managing small teams

TECHNICAL / SOFT SKILLS
- Proficiency in English language is a must-have (oral and written)
- Talent to turn figures into insights and present actionable recommendations
- High degree of inter-connected, multi-dimensional thinking
- Strong interpersonal, organizational and presentation skills
- Ability to prioritize work, with a strong attention to detail and deliver highest degree of quality
- Enjoy and work well in a high pressure atmosphere
- Flexibility to work additional hours during demanding business cycles to meet tight deadlines
- Hands-on approach able to the roll-up the sleeves and get the work done no matter big or small
- Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Excel, PowerPoint and Essbase Hyperion
