Purpose:

GSC for its One Finance Project, is looking for a finance professional to take up the position of Chief Accountant. The position is based in the GSC and reports to the Cluster Finance Operations Manager, with shared KPI"s with the Cluster Finance Manager

He / She is overall responsible for financial reporting & analysis for the country, coordinating the financial book-keeping and providing the Country Finance Manager with accurate, timely, and comprehensive quality financial information and feedback on performance and business plans.
It is the Chief Accountant"s responsibility to ensure that appropriate financial controls and policies are in place. The Chief Accountant is expected to be committed to supporting the corporate and business strategies, adding value and maintaining close and strong relationship with all country and GSC stake holders.

Prime responsibilities include:

- Complete and correct accounting of the country"s result every month in line with APMM GAAP.

- Ensure proper registration process in local and corporate accounting systems (SAP> HFM).

- Ensure timely and accurate reporting of entity results in HFM with a 100% score in completeness, timeliness and quality in Reporting.

- Ensure that the accounting system is up-to-date with all transactions.

- Monthly reconciliation for all accounts, with no items open beyond agreed SLA

- To ensure that adequate visibility of all items in the P&L and Balance Sheet is provided to all stakeholders and deliver necessary management reports.

- All bank reconciliations done on a fortnightly basis.

- Coordination with internal and external auditors, as required.

- Ensure the compliance of tax, legal and transfer pricing matters wherever applicable.

- Ensure corporate governance policies and procedures are in place and up to date

2. Technical

- Degree in Accounting/Audit/Finance or equivalent with understanding of GAAP and IFRS guidelines

- Desired is formal training as a Certified Public Accountant (CPA holder)

- Exposure to book close and audits (internal / external)

- Microsoft office (excel is a must)

- SAP / HFM experience will be added advantage

- Fluent in English (both written and spoken)

Learning description (skills and competencies):

- Taking ownership of the Country P&L and Balance sheet and hence possibility to interact with higher management, ability to show accountability and drive

- Leadership - leader of others - demonstrating ability to manage small specialist teams , groom talent and keep staff motivated and engaged

- Learn organizational agility and effective communication

- Part of the talent pipeline for cluster CFO or Cluster FBP positions

Key Measures:

- Overall Control Dashboard scores of the cluster

- Cluster Finance managers KPI and Country Customer satisfaction scores

- EES Results Target vs. Actual

- Attrition rate of knowledge resources less than 5
